My name’s Georgie and I’m an adventure athlete. I live and work full time in London but when I’m not at my desk you’re pretty much guaranteed to find me involved in some kind of exercise. I have a real passion for adventure and fitness. I love to cycle, run, sail and everything in between. Oh, and I’m a total porridge addict, but more on that later.
Over the last few years I’ve thrown myself into as many challenges as I can. Rightly or wrongly, I’ve taken the ‘sign up now, work out how to do it later’ approach. Throwing myself in the deep end has got me to all sorts of places including the start line of a Swiss cross-country ski marathon having never cross-country skied before. More on that later too(!)
Now I want to help inspire and motivate you to find something you can throw yourself into. I want to provide you with the knowledge and support you need to push the limits of your own potential in search of a more adventurous life.
12 challenges in 12 months
In 2017 I decided to take on 12 challenges in 12 months. I wanted to expand my horizons, get out of my comfort zone and see what I could achieve both mentally and physically.
A cross country ski marathon, cycling to Paris in 24 hours and a circumnavigation of Mallorca in a day were some of the challenges I took on. I was recently interviewed by Hollie Grant on the Strong Not Skinny Podcast where I talk about what I learnt, plus the best and worst bits about taking on all 12 challenges.
My next Big challenge
Next up is the Suffolk Ultra Marathon – a 33 mile trail run. Wish me luck!
